Nigeria's AFCON Squad: Omeruo makes squad, Bright Dike, Brown Ideye dropped

There are five players from the Nigeria Premier League who made the final AFCON cut for NIgeria – goalkeeper chigozie Agbim, defenders Godfrey Oboabona and Azubuike Egwuekwe, midfielder Gabriel Reuben as well as forwards Ejide Uzoenyi and Sunday Mba. Portland Timber's (MLS) striker Bright Dike got dropped from the list even though he scored Nigeria's equaliser against Catalonia ina warm-up game last week. Dynamo Kiev striker Ideye, who scored in November in a friendly against Venezuela and is top striker for his club also didnt make the squad according to MTNFoootball.com. Nigeria U20 defender Omeruo, who has impressed with Dutch club ADO Den Haag on loan from Chelsea, made the final cut in only his first call-up to the full international team. Nigeria will take on fellow 2013 Nations Cup finalists Cape Verde on Wednesday night - 7pm their final warm-up game before the biennial tournament.
